Well,  that's  a  point,  but  let's  see the alternatives.
Opening a program  module (IDM) via RMB would be against user experience.
If on the  other hand the menu of Save Attachments-button becomes a context 
menu (opened via RMB) then there would not be a functionality on left 
click   of  Save  Attachments-button  which  is  also  against  user  
experience. Or in other words: There has to be an action on LMB.

The  primary  action  for IDM-button is to open the manager, so: LMB. 
Shortcuts  of  the  Image-download-functionality  are  present in the 
context menu: RMB
Since  there is no Save Attachments-manager, the primary functionality 
of save attachments button is to open the menu via LMB.

But I admit: It's not the nicest thing.
