I can't work out exactly when virtual folders are updated. Selecting the VF, the parent folder or the source folder doesn't do it. Pressing refresh in each of those folders doesn't update either. If I read a message in the VF, it is marked as read in the VF and the source folder. If I read the message or mark as read (without reading) in the source folder the VF is not updated. VF's are updated after a restart. This is not immediate and takes up to a minute with a source folder of 9,000 messages. Auto-Refresh and Store State between session don't seem to do anything useful.
