1) Smartpad still does not respect the setting "Free Caret Positioning" from Preferences. No matter whether it's turned on or off, Smartpad allows free caret positioning. 2) I also observe a strange effect when you place the cursor further to the right that what is specified in "Wrap text at" in Preferences and start typing. With every new character, the written word jumps downwards one line and also to right in big steps and as you can see at the horizontal scrollbar picker. I observe the second effect in MicroEd as well when Free caret positioning is turned on.
