Yes, works. And better yet:

The Bat Flaps! - The taskbar was set to combine icons, and I have
changed this to individual icons. Now the "main" icon's bat flaps when
there is new mail. :-)

But the periodical check every 10 minutes has taken a leave of
absence, and I have to check manually. Let me see why this happened.
