Desktops and laptops are unlikely to go anywhere, at least in the
business world - there are things you simply can't do with just a
touchscreen. Also, a Linux version of The Bat would not help with
Android at all - while it uses the Linux kernel, that's the only thing
it has in common with regular Linux distributions, so writing a Linux
e-mail client wouldn't get you anywhere near Android.
