Yes,  I  can  confirm  what  you  describe.  But  there  is  a kind of
'workaround':  Ctrl+click on the desired folder and only that one will
be selected and not the sub-folders.

But,  for  the  sake of curiosity, I have checked with v7.4.16 and the
behavior is totally the *opposite*. If you click on a folder which has
sub-folders,  ONLY  that one will be selected and NOT the sub-folders.
However,  if  you  Ctrl+clcik,  the folder and all sub-folders will be
selected.
