Dear TBBETA, I have experienced this for a few versions. I happen sometimes, I cannot point my finger on it:
Steps: Open TB!. I have split view, full-height account list on the left, right top is message list, bottom is message preview. Highlight a message in the message list. Hit <enter> Possible outcomes: 1.) Access violation. 2.) Message opens in a new windows (as expected), plus access vilation. 3.) Message opens normally in new window. Outcome 3. is what happens most of the time. The access vilations can be clicked away, and then I can work normally. So, not a big issue but a bug I'l like to report here.
