This thread gives us a clue as to how much they must be scrambling at Rit to
fix things. It is true that
TB's html support is not the best, but it has improved over the years. I
suspect it must be a low priority issue.
It hasn't been too long since html was scorned in email. Things have changed.
The other part of it is that html is a moving target. Specs are constantly
changing, being added and taken
away. Keeping up with that could be a full time job in itself.
As for Google/tls, my opinion is that it is a good idea to go with email
providers that don't have problems.
Easy for me to say, since I have been with Fastmail for 15 years or so.
Changing providers is a pain, I
know. But consider, you will only need to do it once.
