Here is how it works in .14 finally: Right-click in the field where the toolbars are (but not in any particular toolbar), take the tick-mark off Quicksearch. Next time TB! is restarted, Quicksearch is still hidden. (No need to lock the toolbar.) So, the problem is in how you do it: Initially, I clicked on the little arrow at the Quicksearch toolbar, Add or Remove, then Customize, then Toolbars, and took the tickmark off. Apparently, they bug is that this is not stored, even though it should link to the same code as right-clicking in the toolbar field. A small but annoying bug, hopefully easy to fix.
