If I take the tickmark off [ ] Display HTML-related, I do not have an icon for the HTML part, and that is consistent. I have only the tab, and clicking on the tab has no effect (unless I want to switch between tabs). Anyway, Alexander already gave me the correct tip how to switch this in TB. All is fine; I would only have expected the tickmark to be set by default to ensure conistent behaviour between the versions.
