Hello,

Does anybody know what was the purpose of new networking engine? I
thought it makes clients view the changes made by other clients in
real-time (I mean, Refresh Folder and Refresh folder-tree menu items
are called automatically when needed - that is when someone makes some
changes to the folder tree or to the folder's contents). I was wrong.
So, what are we supposed to test?

I've tested 1.53 beta/4, BTW.

One more point: when beta/4 is run for the first time on a computer,
and if I tell it to be a server, it produces an error message that the
path p:\mail (that I selected as the main MAIL folder) is not an UNC
path. Surely it isn't, because on a Win98se machine I cannot map local
shares to disk letters (see MS KB Q238021 Cannot Map a Network
Connection to a Local Shared Resource). Instead, I created P: drive
with the SUBST command in my AUTOEXEC.BAT. I suppose that the
appearance of this error message on a Win98se machine is a bug.
Moreover, TB does nothing to not accept the path. It just displays the
error message, then accepts the path and asks for first account info.
Then it runs smoothly.
