First: Why do you want to change your running system?
(Please don't do this!)
You want to change the system? OK. Main advice: do a backup of your
mails. You need to know where the mails are. Look under:
Opciones -> Preferencias -> Sistema -> Directorio de Correo
Copy this path into the clipboard. Exit "The Bat!" now.
Open the path to your mail in the file manager ("Windows Explorer").
Compress the complete folder including the subfolder. You can use "7zip"
(https://www.7-zip.org) or so.
Also do a backup with The Bat! internal backup system:
Herramientas -> Copia de Seguridad
(backup all which is show in this assistent).
Store the zip file and the file you got with The Bat!'s internal backup
system to an external disk or USB pen. Thats to ticket back if
something fails.
Then:
1.) Uninstall the old "The Bat!" installation via Windows deinstaller
2.) Install the newer version of "The Bat!"
3.) If you didn't changed the path to the mails it will recognise your
mails.
4.) If not simply change the path with:
Opciones -> Preferencias -> Sistema -> Directorio de Correo
to the path it shows up before.
5.) Exit The Bat!
6.) Start it again - It will ask you to make use of the mail accounts
it finds now
7.) Done.
If something did not work: deinstall the new version, delete the
Program folder and also delete the folder which you got before (it is
the folder which you saw in "Directorio de Correo").
Reinstall the older version again and copy all your mails (it will
include the account settings) into the folder "Directorio de Correo"
from the beginning.
