I think Marck (?) gave the right hint: The installer calls TB!
automatically without invoking a confirmation window. Now, it could be
that the function call goes for "thebat.exe" two times.

I had something similar with a freeware programme which got a
specific folder manually. When I started the installer it came up
again and again and again ... what happened was the following: The
programme's executive was called the same as the installer, and since
both were in the same directory the automatic programme call always
brought up the installer again. Was easily fixed by renaming the
installer.
