It's already in TB: in the account properties, on the Parameters page:
"Empty Trash folder on exit". Or right-click the Trash folder, select
Properties, then set up the folder to keep 0 messages or keep them for
xxx days. And mark "Compress on exit" option.
If you want to clean all the folders, select Folders|Delete old
messages from all folders. The folders that are setup to keep the
messages for xxx days or to keep xxx messages at most will be cleaned.
Then use Compress all folders menu item to free the disk space (and
really delete the deleted messages - otherwise they'll just be marked
as deleted).
