Yo. Don't you guys think that attempting to add NEW features in a RELEASE CANDIDATE is a rather reckless thing to do? I mean, in those cut/paste filters, VCF drag-and-drop, sourceviewer config, everywhere COULD be more new bugs - and a "release candidate" has always meant "let's kill all the remaining bugs and ship it, and then we can add more new stuff in the next version"! So why add NEW (even if very useful!) features, when the previous ones are still buggy?? This will just result in a bug breeding process, with more and more to kill with every new feature! ...And it's exactly what has been happening lately. More new features, again and again. And what about the long-living radioactive bug, so old that it keeps tripping over its own beard, with the scrollbars disappearing (or not appearing at all) in the editor or the preview pane?? In case if this bug got so old that everyone forgot about it: * get your mouse over to the preview pane, press a button somewhere in the text, and drag it to the right. The message will scroll to the left, without a horizontal scrollbar appearing. The message should either REFUSE to scroll (as there's no more text to scroll to), OR display a scrollbar (highly unwieldy, but better than nothing). * send yourself a message with lines longer than your Preview pane. The lines will wrap, of course - but they'll wrap to the full width of the preview pane. So when a vertical scrollbar appears, some lines get overlapped by it, so the horizontal scrollbar has to appear - only to allow the user to scroll to the one or two remaining columns. * In the editor, press and hold PageDown. The scrollbar will stay in place, while the cursor rockets down to hundreds of lines below.
