I second this. Also, the log panel also behaved as you suggest in
earlier versions. I don't know why they changed it to the current
behaviour.

When I see "0 messages received", I find myself hitting shift-crtl-A
automatically, because the last line in the log panel does not give me
the info whether my problematic server had problems again, or whether
there is really no message.
