Hello The Bat! developers,

I'm using The Bat! Version 1.54/10
  Serial Number 12A1F196
  under Windows 95 4.0 Build 1111 B
and would like to report a bug

  The bug description:

If there are a Folder called "bat" in the temp folder this folder
and all this contents are deleted if i start TB!

Please take care what you are deleting on the users file system
(You know on Windows it is possible that there are running more
than one program at the same time, and it could cause really wired
problems if you delete the temp files used by another program). I
suggest to create some unique foldername for storing tempoary
files. This could be done by finding a filename that is not there
in the temp folder and right after finding the free name create
this folder. And also create internal a list of all the files you
crate and only delete _this_ files are also maybe a good idea.

BTW: Double click on an msg file and do a source view (F9) cause
still the deletion of the msg file.

BTW2: Not a bug but IMHO wrong by design: If you run the "call
external program" filter action TB! export the message to the temp
dir and call the program and if the program exit TB! _delete_ this
temp file. In this case it is not possible to prevent data lose,
because if the launched program crash at start time the mail will
not be processed and TB! delete the message. IMHO TB! should leave
it to the external launched program to decide to delete this temp
    file.

As we are talking about this: Do TB! still delete the account
folder including _all_ files and subfolders inside if you delete
an account, on does TB! now only delete the files they are owned
by this account? (Wired if you set the account root to C:\ and
    delete the account)

BTW2: Why TB! create a temp file if you do an source view (F9) why
    could that not handled internally?

  Steps to reproduce the bug:

Create a folder called "bat" in your temp directory, store some
files inside this folder and start TB!

Regards,
  Dirk Heiser
