For all 1.54 Beta 15-18, HTML messages on my system are now back to being *really* slow - I timed it again, and it takes 13-16 seconds for even a trivial little HTML message without images or links or anything to show up. I don't know why this worked quickly for me earlier for a time. I just tried rebooting my computer and running only TB after it came back up, and this delay is still present. So it's not a conflict with other apps. It manifests itself as a "hang" time - when I first select the message header line in the box's list, the viewer window goes totally gray, and during this ~15 sec. delay, TB is totally unresponsive. Once the delay is past, the HTML message is actually drawn very quickly, and all mouse/key events in the "backlog" are then processed. Any ideas why this is happening? Seems to be only me that has a delay this long.
