Hello The Bat! developers,

  I'm using The Bat! Version 1.54 Beta/25
  Serial Number FCADE557
  under Windows 98 4.10 Build 67766446 A
and would like to report a bug

  The bug description:

Incorrect cursor movement in the editor when the first word of a line
in a paragraph is selected and deleted/overwritten.

  Steps to reproduce the bug:

Type a long (wrapped) paragraph in the editor, in stream mode when
auto-format and auto-wrap are on. Double-click on (to select) the first word
of any but the first line of the paragraph. Now, if you hit 'del' or
'backspace', the word is deleted, but the cursor moves to the beginning of
the previous word, instead of staying at the position of the deleted word,
which is confusing. Even worse, if instead of 'del' you just start typing,
e.g. to overwrite the selected word, the new typing also starts before the
word prior to the selection, so your word order gets messed up.

This only seems to happen when there isn't any other punctuation at or near
the selected word (I can't tell exactly what the "rules" are), but it
happens often enough to be annoying.

Regards,
  Paul A. Thiessen
