Hello Dave, On Fri, 8 Mar 2002 at 16:02:13 [GMT +0000], you wrote: DC> Is there any good reason why, when a message is waiting in the Out DC> Box, I can't simply right click, select the delete option (which DC> is active) and have it actually work? Also, won't delete if I use DC> the waste bin icon. Take a look at the icon for the message. Does it have an hour-glass next to it. If so, you've got it in Draft/Park mode. The whole idea behind park mode is so you can mark a message as parked (because you want to keep it), so by emptying a folder (by right clicking a folder), or highlighting all the messages and hitting delete, will delete unparked messages, but not parked ones.
To fix it, just click the icon with the hourglass, which will change to a dot, and you can then delete it normally. Parking also keeps messages in the Outbox from turning the Outbox green (an indication that you have messages waiting to be sent). I have about 15 messages in my Outbox marked as parked, because they're either in progress (drafts), or messages that I don't plan on sending until a certain date in the future (follow-ups to previous e-mails). It would be a pain to have my Outbox in a constant green status, because then I wouldn't know if there was an auto-generated message from one of my filters that actually needed to go out, or if they were actually drafts, without going in and actually looking at them.
