I'm not an expert (far from it) but I don't see how there can be. In
your new to-be-patented scheme with paper, ink and wax, I would still
need to check that the seal on it was yours (I might remember if I
don't have many seals to deal with). Similarly for your signature -
it's *a* signature, but is it yours. Banks (for example) routinely ask
for file copies of customer signature for just this purpose.

The problem with the digital signature thing is that (a) most of us
don't really understand it 'cos it just hasn't been around long enough,
and (b) there isn't an accepted standard.
