The whole PC still stops, starts and stutters like a broken light switch. What exactly happens is, one message is downloaded, the pc freezes while it's imported, it then works for a second and freezes again while the message is deleted from the server. Same when sending mail. The mouse stops and starts and jumps about all over the screen and the mail ticker can't tell if the lights are red or green either. It's just a matter of sitting and waiting for the mail session to finish so that I can regain control of my PC. It's as if each process is taking 100% of the processors time. I have no problem at all with 160k, I don't even notice when there is a mail session on other than the ticker appearing at the top of the screen. - -- Best regards, Tony.
