I have had the same problem with 1.60q. For some reason, periodical checking just doesn't work any more. I tried disabling the firewall and AVG and it made no difference. I've tried reinstalling TB, checking and unchecking the settings, changing the period and nothing. It won't automatically check on any account now and it used to.
