Hey guys, Here are some thoughts I have on the new scheduler. First, I think this is a great feature, something I've been longing for for quite some time, and something that would help me sell my Outlook using friends on the bat! just a little bit more (getting IMAP to work would be the final clincher ;-)).
Anyway, here is a list of criticisms (good and bad): o SmartBat and Scheduler on the same pane, why not have a single menu item? Presumably any future add-ons could go in this pane, so why keep creating new menu items for it? o Make these items optionally installable, so those concerned about bloatware, or who simply don't use these options won't need to have them. o Have a button or something for adding a task. It's a bit awkward to have to right-click or press the Ins key. o Choosing "This Week" -> "Important" whites out the current week on the calendar on my system. o Allow the tasks to be viewed by time of day (a la Outlook and other PIMs) o What do the copy and paste keys do? What does it even to copy and paste something like that (if a recurring option is already available)? o Make it so when you double-click on a task, it brings up the properties window. o Make it so you can minimize within the bat! -- it's kind of a pain to have to keep reopening it if you're switching between reading messages and the scheduler (or perhaps add a transparency option or something). o I like the actions methods that can be performed when an event occurs. o Very good effort. I'm quite happy with it thus far, even it doesn't seem like it.
