Hello Allie,

On Sunday, June 15, 2003 at 1:47:46 PM you [AM] wrote (at least in
part):

PP>>> "Options" / "Preferences" / "Viewer/Editor" / "View HTML messages using"

PP>>> to show "Plain Text version and HTML".

PP>>> Nevertheless the HTML part is shown as first and default on this
PP>>> message.

AL>> Same settings, but results are rather random - for text/html and
AL>> multipart/alternative I can see parts in both order

AM> Apart from the setting mentioned by Peter. There's another one:

AM> 'View messages with alternative layout as:'

AM> What do you have this as? Could this setting have something to do with
AM> it?

- Changing "View messages with alternative layout ..." to any possible
value didn't affect presentation of this particular mail.
- Changing "View plain text messages using" to "Fixed Width Font Viewer (fast)"
didn't affect presentation in the matter of "HTML part shown first".
- Changing "View HTML messages using" to "Plain Text version only"
showed a plain text version only (who'd have guessed :-) ), but that's
  not my intention.
Sure, this mail I don't care for how it's shown, it's spam. But it
made me recognize there might be room for improvement :-)

Shall I MIME-forward the message to a developer for checking himself
on this particular message and maybe finding the reason for this
"inconsistency"? Note: I don't say it's only TB!'s fault, I wouldn't
be astonished id the mail is simply "MIME formatted in an allowed, but
unusual way".
Or bug track and attach a message export (is the 'Attachements' bug
in bugtracker fixed?)?
