It's a little bit of a misnomer, as this should really say disable as default or such. Ok, for the long one. This is totally off the top of my head from a bit back, so forgive any mistakes please. 1. I put all the files in the TheBat! folder. I had some problems earlier by telling it what directory to put it in, and leaving it in the TheBat! folder worked, so I just stuck with it. 2. Make a folder called c:\Baesyan This is where the data files will go. 3. Run the Learning engine executable. The check the registry to make sure it created an entry in HKCU/Software/AB/BayesIt! with a bunch of keys in it. If BayesIt! key is empty, then delete the BayesIT! key and rerun the learning engine again. 4. On the frequency dictionary tab, Choose destination SPAM, Final Copus New. Click Process. Navigate to the *.tbb in the TheBat!/MAIL/AccountName/Folder which is the folder containing all of your spam. 5. Once that's done (and it could take a minute or two depending on how big your spam base is), then choose Save under the Final SPAM dictionary and save it in C:\Baesyan. 6. Repeat step 4 and 5 except for the non-spam stuff. You can do this on multiple .tbb files one at a time to make your non-spam base more "correct" i.e. mailing lists, folders for friends etc. As a side note, after the first *.tbb you do for non-spam, it should automatically change from New to Merge under Final Copus. This is what you want it to do. 7. Click the Regarding Base tab, click generate, then save the RGD to c:\baesyan. Then, and only then, click the Train RGD. 8. Once this is done, then install the plugin under TheBat! That should be it. It's a little bit of work to make sure all your folders are either considered spam or not spam before doing all this. One Nigerian help me transfer money e-mail in your non-spam folder would cause some bit of skew in the regarding base (I don't know how much, but something would happen). I think all the above is correct. It seems to be working for me, but I can't wait unitl the plugin supports the context, mark as not spam, and mark as spam to train the regarding base.
