Yes. I don't particularly like this meager information provided by the
integrated PGP5,6,7,8 support.

If the message is PGP/MIME signed then these methods will not work. You
have to depend on the MUA to feed the data to PGP rather than PGP
simply copying the contents of a window.

No. PGP/MIME signatures are under the hood. The advantage is that things
are much tidier and that attachments are included in the signing +/-
encryption process. The disadvantage is that you can't use the tray apps
to verify or decrypt messages when PGP/MIME is used.

For sticky behaviour, you need to use macros.
%nopgpmine - disable PGP/MIME
%pgpmime - always use pgp/mime
%autopgpmime - the current default behaviour
