I somehow managed to change the default character set for my messages
earlier today.

When I finally worked out what it was supposed to be I noticed the
following:

If I create a mail message where the character set should leave
content-transfer-encoding set to 7bit and then save the message as a
draft the message is set to base64.

It 'seems' to reset itself to 7bit when the message is finally sent.
I'm still testing this but it seems weird to me.
