Seriously, the new icons may not be to everybody's taste - I, BTW,
like them for various reasons - but they have been upgraded towards
the current trend of semi-transparent, pastel-coloured
three-dimensional, laid-back buttons. They aren't as bad as Windows
XP's default ones, nor like PowerQuest's set. They look more subdued
without sacrificing informational status - especially the released
ones, which brought back a bit of colour.
To sum up: You can satisfy some of the people all of the time, you can
satisfy all the people some of the time. But you cannot
satisfy all the people all of the time.
