Yes, I strongly believe we need the option.  I leave certain messages
unread -- messages that I want to attract my attention again at a
later time.  But with the volume of mail that I process daily,
navigation is *very* important (that volume also means that "read"
doesn't necessarily mean "read and completely assimilated" -- so I
want to leave as unread those things I want to look at again when I
have more time).  But I want to be able to move through my database
quickly and easily, without being stuck in one folder simply because
there is unread mail there. It's extremely frustrating.  I actually
started looking for another client last night -- just general
browsing, nothing serious. It's *that* frustrating.
