I guess you're right on that.

The issues you mentioned weren't really that important to me in the
past since I did not have a revoked key, and PGP/MIME was not yet
implemented. I would therefore use GPG Tray to assist with the areas
where things weren't working so well. Now that PGP/MIME is around, I
wish to sign, encrypt etc. on sending. GPG Tray will not help with
PGP/MIME. The integrated GnuPG support has to work really well now.

It's much better to present a dialog presenting the possible choices.
Smartmatching can choose the more likely key, but the possibility to
choose, and override any choices based on smart-martching, should
always be available to the user.
