Hi Jonathan,

I cannot confirm your findings. I use Mozilla Thunderbird as the
working 'alternative' to TB!. Messages flagged 'as read' in
Thunderbird will be flagged 'as read' in TB! as well.

Betreft: IMAP - Marking messages as new when they are only new to TB

|> Hi,

|> I've noticed this really annoying... er... 'feature' of TB in
|> regards to IMAP. If I read mail in another client, say Evolution or
|> SquirrelMail, and open TB... if TB didn't ever see those new
|> messages before, but they are now marked as read, TB ALWAYS marks
|> them as unread/new messages, stuffs them in the ticker, and
|> continues along. This is really annoying as I spent most of today
|> reading my emails in SquirrelMail because I could NOT get TB to run
|> before CE was released. This resulted in well over 2,000 emails
|> being marked as unread even though I'd spent most of the day reading
|> them. Anybody else seeing TB doing this too?
