The thing is that it is defined.
Reply to a message, place it in the outbox and then view the source.
You'll see the headers that are defined. The In-Reply-To header is
there, just like the others that you can view via the View menu.
Saying that it hasn't been defined, is like saying the From or Subject
or Follow-up headers haven't been defined.

I realize this and thanks. :)
I just want to show up inconsistent behaviour. :)

I don't wish to do this really. It's just that someone on TBUDL (the
reason is unimportant) wishes to reply to a list without In-Reply-To
or Reference headers. I suggested deleting them while composing. The
reference headers viewing is inbuilt. Just enable View/Follow-up and
you see them. If you wish your reply to not thread then delete the
Follow-up value. However, In-Reply-To isn't provided inbuilt, even
though it's one of the headers that are generated when the message is
created. So, it would be consistent, if creating the header in the
Headers panel and enabling it in the editor's Header view panel will
display the In-Reply-To value so it can be deleted/edited if the user
wants to.
I tried it only to see that what I expected doesn't really happen.
BTW, could he just create the In-Reply-To header in the Headers
panel and then use these two macros in his templates?:
%SETHEADER("In-Reply-To",)
%SETHEADER("References",)
In this way, the values would be set to nothing?
In fact, I just tried the one for References and it doesn't work. How
do I delete the reference headers with the macro?
