When swapping from POP3 to MAPI (against an Exchange server) I find
that I get a huge number of messages re-downloaded, even though I
already have them. No DEDUPE says there are no duplicates - and I can
see why from DEDPUE's viewpoint. However, these messages are clearly
the same message - so why should the transport may any difference at
all.
I'm still requesting a DEDUPE which is "more intelligent" (or uses
less information - like sender & created date), in order to tidy up my
inbox which has grown by 2000 messages since using MAPI
