Hi all, Since using TB!, I've always had auto-read flagging of messages enabled.
I've also noted that read message filters would work only if messages
were automatically flagged as read. Manually marking messages as read
would *not* trigger read message filters.
However, MUA has been enjoying the benefits of read message filtering
after while manually marking his messages read. After comparing our
configuration, it turns out that he never lets TB! auto-flag his
messages as read. He has disabled this option.
After disabling auto-read flagging here, I can filter messages using
read filters while manually marking messages read.
My question is why does it have to work this way? Why not have read
message filtering triggered once a messages is flagged as read,
irrespective of how the message is marked as read. Is there a good
reason for disabling read message filtering when manually flagging
messages as read when auto-read flagging is enabled?
