Hi all, It's getting tiring for me when I wish to make an adjustment to a folder view and at the same time having to set things back to the way they were before since any adjustment you make is stored without my being able to override this.
Now that TB! has implemented being able to create specific folder views, things need to be 'tidied up' so that when one is adjusting a folder view it isn't automatically assumed that one wishes to change one of the already created views, even if it's being used by the folder, whose message list view is currently being adjusted. Saving a view mode or updating one of the existing view modes should always be a deliberate action. It should never be assumed that since I wish to make an adjustment, that I wish to store the new settings to a view. I don't know about everyone else, but I'm quite sure I'm not alone on this; but it's not all the time, or even nearly all the time, that when I make changes to a message list viewing that I wish to store it for further use. So my proposition: Implement a save function so that if one exits a folder any changes to the view mode isn't saved unless a save action is carried out. An optional prompt could also be provided upon exiting a folder, offering to save the adjusted view mode to a new view mode or to an existing view mode. -- -=[ Allie ]=- (List Moderator and fellow end-user) PGPKeys: http://key.ac-martin.com Running The Bat! v2.04.7 on WinXP Pro (SP1)
