RSS stands for (variously) Rich Site Summary, or RDF Site Summary, and (notwithstanding versions and arguments) was/has been popularized by the Tech News Sites, SlashDot, and hordes of Blogs and other sites. Definitely two totally different things. A "Newsreader" would be something like Agent or 40titude Dialog, which reads NNTP news (USENET) servers, and is a bi-directional forum like system. RSS is a subset of XML (er, RDF is the subset that is), and is served up via a WebServer. It is one-way only (server->aggregator)! ->|> Would be nice if someone could enlighten me a bit. To give you an idea of what's available, check this site out: http://www.feedster.com/top100.php Personally, before you install the rss2pop gateway, I'd suggest downloading SharpReader or another aggregator and trying it out. Get an idea what content is out there, and decide if it is something you want before messing with a Beta gateway in your current config.
