In the "Official Guidelines for User Interface Developers and Designers"
for Windows:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/en-us/dnwue/html/ch09f.asp?frame=true
see the difference between Information, Warning and Critical messages.

The stop or "critical" message "informs the user of a serious problem that
requires intervention or correction before work can continue." Sure this
is not the "Search string not found" case.
