Yes, and that is my point. An example: Here is a subject a few posts
up: "Invalid HTML (was: Beta cycle suggestion)." Ok, I want to do a
search on "Beta cycle." What I get are all the posts with "beta cycle"
in the post (including the subject). So, I also get this specific post
that has nothing whatsoever to do with "beta cycle." Multiply that by
however many occurrences there in the archives.

"it is a poster's responsable decision to change the subject or open a
new thread" is the potential problem, IMO
None of this is really worth the bandwidth. I was only pointing out an
annoyance in searching the archives when the subject lines of threads
change so often. I will certainly live with it and I appreciate all
the comments.
