I face a similar problem. It happens when I have a fairly large number of emails to download. The CC freezes at random points. It could be the sixth message or the sixtieth. I can never tell when it will happen. The only solution for me is to invoke the Task Manager and kill The Bat. It's become so irritating that I'm seriously considering changing back to Pegasus, which I used to use up till a couple of years ago, before I purchased The Bat.
