Yes. I do recall this with ThunderBird and with Mulberry. I really
appreciated their filtering and sound notification for new mail.

Yes. I was hoping that with this new filtering system, IMAP filtering
would improve with regard to the behaviour you're describing. I do
know what you're referring to and it's the reason why I still don't
filter most of my IMAP mail using TB!.
