Hi,

Every couple of years, Ritlabs does this: They nuke everybody's
registration and claim a new version. The result is hundreds of
emails within an hour or so. This is what I have learned:

1. Ritlabs communication does not exist. They do not tell anyone
anything. They do not publish plans, and they do not answer emails.
2. Ritlabs has no idea how to release a product. There are cycles and
reports and plans that need to be published.
3. Ritlabs has no idea how to write software. This is clear because
there have been bugs that have been around for years.

If Ritlabs wants volunteer help to make their product better, then
communicate, make plans, stick to them, ask for help, and stop
screwing the people you asked to help by nuking registration codes
when there is no reason on earth to make a version 3.
