hello all!
MM> XP-themes API is a very perplexing one, like MAPI and many MM> other Microsoft APIs. It seemed that Microsoft is the only company MM> that manage to fully utilize this API in its programs. The Bat! is MM> an exception from this regularity. The Bat! looks under XP like MM> Microsoft's Programs or even better. maybe so. maybe are themes nice and shiny. but the foremost argument for me was the stability and speed of "the bat!". I hated the smiley and rogues pictures. I don't use IMAP, but use HTML sometimes. you may need a new and shiny interface for new customers, but you will loose many old customers. why again pay for an upgrade so soon after version 2.x? I am greatly disappointed! I am really considering to look for another email programm. colleagues of mine showed me MS Outlook 2004. It looks stable, has perfect IMAP and HTML support, has good filtering and very important for me Virtual Folders (some other name, but the same functionality) and is able to handle my mail base with 27.915 mails. It is overbloated and sometimes slow. I don't really like it because of security concerns, but it is an option. and just now, it seems the better option than to pay for another beta cycle with 500 more betas for version 3.x. I simply get what I pay for. no future (maybe) features. a greatly disappointed customer of yours, once a great fan of "the bat!", dave ________________________________________________________ Current beta is 3.00 Beta/1 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html IMPORTANT: To register as a Beta tester, use this link first - http://www.ritlabs.com/en/partners/testers/
