Hello, In the last few days I have been reading most of the postings made here about the decision to release version 3 of The Bat.
I count myself among those who felt disappointed and frustrated about this decision. I agree with The Bat users who feel that comparatively little work is done to fix bugs while program development moves continuously to new features and functions (and bugs). Wisely by RITLabs, the cost of moving from version 2.x to version 3 was not set at a too high an amount for beta testers. Personally, I shall most likely purchase the license for version 3. Nevertheless, I don't plan to use The Bat for a while. I don't have many demands or complicated requirements as a mail client user. I feel, therefore, rather tired acting as a beta tester for The Bat. One may argue, why I don't I stick to the release version and leave the beta testing to those that have the stamina to do it? In this particular case, I think that version 3 was released too soon. Some rather significant bugs have already been reported. It is better for me to move to another email client and return to The Bat after some basic problems are solved. That is why I shall go back to using Pegasus Mail, a program that I used to use for many years. -- Best regards, Costas ________________________________________________________ Current beta is (none) | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html IMPORTANT: To register as a Beta tester, use this link first - http://www.ritlabs.com/en/partners/testers/
