When there is a "default mailto account" (gosh, I don't know how often I have typed this, I'm gonna abbreviate it with... *haha* DMT... no, DMTA, from here on), this is being used (we could say that the DMTA has higher priority as it counts system-wide, see "send to" etc.); if there's no DMTA then the active account is used. Btw., the DMTA is also the account that will be used for all common folders (it has nothing to do with the "identity" tab, thats the adress, the account is another thing - makes me wish that the identity tab in common folders would be enhanced by an account selector box).
