I think a parameter as /usb should be better.

If  TB!  gets  the  /usb parameter it should load a .reg file into the
registry,  and whe TB! it's closed it should save a .reg file with the
registry keys it uses.

With this idea developers not need to touch any line of code, only add
the load/save code.
