I's the unique Hendrik> idea i have to this problem... The .dat files now exist (don't ask me why), but going into prefernces I am told that there no non-spam emails. Ok, I scan a bunch of non-spam and no longer get that message. The database.dat file is the same size and still dated yesterday, despite my having scanned a lot today. I have no idea what is going on. Trying to read a non-existent log file crashed TheBat! I guess that has nothing to do with my virtual recent folder, which should contain stuff less than a day old, not containing anything from today.
