No, but that is the fault of Fabio Cipparone. Instead of creating a new mail, he obviously answered to an existing one, deleted all text and wrote his mail, thus leaving all References: headers intact and making life harder for us threading our mails. You'll get used to it, even if it doesn't happen that often.
