TextPad hasn't been updated for quite some time, Agent promises and promises but rarely delivers*, Feurio has promised a v2 years ago but doesn't develop it (I asked them, they answered; it's simply not affordable). Other programmes get updated every few days or even hours. In the case of Vuescan the very timely development by the sole programmer, Ed Hamrick, didn't hold people to bash him.
