Apart from Leif declaring this thread DH'ed, I chime in with the
biggest mantra of shareware:

     Try, try, try ... before you buy.

I've written it - in this very thread and every time this discussion
comes up (about every five minutes since nobody has anything else to
do nowadays): Don't buy promises. There's only one exception, found on
carnivals and circuses, palm readers and their kind.
